NCB employees threatened

The management of National Commercial Bank (NCB) has reportedly enforced precautionary measures in a bid to protect its employees from angry supporters of alternative investment schemes.
RJR News has been informed that NCB employees have been told by management not to wear their uniforms to work on Thursday.
It is reported that the instruction was issued on Wednesday in the wake of threats made against NCB by persons who have accused the bank of being party to a plot to destroy alternative investment schemes.
Wednesday High Court Judge Mrs. Marva McIntosh granted Cash Plus a nine-day injunction preventing NCB from closing its accounts.
Lawyers representing Cash Plus went to court after company officials accused local commercial banks of conspiring against its operations.
They said the institutions have been refusing to cash customers’ cheques and moving to close down its accounts.
The Jamaica Bankers Association has denied being a part of any such conspiracy.
